Course Basics

English Camerata Soloists offer to all classical music instrumentalists an exciting summer Course unique for its extensive top quality music coaching.

All share the common purpose of making chamber music as well as possible and to that end all the Course arrangements are dedicated to be smooth and supportive for the uninterrupted enjoyment of it. Both freelancers and pre-formed ensembles enjoy sharing in the rather special atmosphere engendered by the passionate commitment of tutors and the 'work hard and play hard' approach of tutees.

Among instrumentalists we cater for are keyboard players (piano and harpsichord); string players (violin, cello, viola, double-bass); wind players (bassoon, clarinet, oboe, cor anglais, flute, recorder and bass clarinet); brass instrumentalists ( trumpet, French horn, trombone).

The residential (non-residential places available) Summer Music course enjoys a stimulating, supportive and sociable atmosphere.

Instrumentalists will be inspired by friendly, detailed and constructive coaching on classical, contemporary and baroque repertoire from dedicated teachers who this year will again include Elizabeth Altman, piano; Pal Banda, cello and baroque cello; Mike Escreet, double bass and baroque double bass; Ofer Falk, violin, Alexander Koshelev, baroque oboe; Maria Becker, baroque violin, Peter Merry, french horn, Edwina Smith, flute, baroque flute and chamber music; harpsichordist and further wind specialists to be confirmed.
